Decking Materials
Mead Clark's quality wood decking materials include REDWOOD CON HEART "S-DRY", surfaced 4 sides and REDWOOD CLEAR HEART, all-heart green decking.
Our REDWOOD CON HEART is a beautiful S-DRY not “green” Redwood Decking for optimal appearance and functionality. Our S-DRY Redwood, from Redwood Empire, is air dried until the perfect 19 percent or less moisture content is achieved, making for lighter, easier decking installations. CON HEART features selected, heartwood only boards with the color and look that homeowners expect when installing a quality redwood deck. The result is a deck or other outdoor space that features a deep red, uniform appearance. Con Heart contains some knots, it is not a clear grade.
We also stock Ipe hardwood decking from South America, known for its long-lasting durability and rich beauty. Additional varieties of exotic hardwood are available by special order, such as Garapa Gold, Cumaru, Red Balau (Mangaris), Brazilian Redwood (Massaranduba), Tigerwood (Muiracatiara) and Cambara.
Trex is our stock composite decking of choice. The Trex Company is the world's largest manufacturer of high performance wood-alternative decking and railing, with more than 20 years of product experience. Trex outdoor living products offer a wide range of style options with fewer ongoing maintenance requirements than wood, as well as a truly environmentally responsible choice.

REDWOOD GRADES
AND USES
There are over thirty different grades of redwood lumber including general purpose grades and specialized grades for a single use. There is a grade of redwood for almost any application suitable for wood. Redwood is graded by appearance and durability, with criteria defined by the Redwood Inspection Service.
